EP Farmers Market ~ Thursdays (October 8, 15, 22, 29) 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Shoppers should be prepared for a "new normal" under social distancing guidelines developed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture designed to protect market employees and consumers. Vendors will be limited to agricultural products (flowers, seeds, plants), produce and cottage foods (honey, jam, fruit pies). Don't expect to squeeze the tomatoes to check for freshness because touching products is prohibited. 8900 S. Kedzie

Grab & Grow: Plant Propagation ~ October 6 to 9

The Grab & Grow program is offered in October (Pothos), and November (Holiday cactus).  Please register for just one month to ensure more people can learn how to propagate!

Plant propagation is the process of collecting clippings from one plant to grow an entirely new one. Please register in advance for this program in order to receive a kit with everything you need to start your new plant. Once the cuttings are prepared, you will be contacted and must pick up between October 6 and 9.

Note: Limited supplies so only 30 registrants. Those on the waitlist will be notified in the order of registration if extra cuttings become available. If you cannot pick up your cutting between 10/6-9 please call 708.422.8522 to release it to the next person.  Evergreen Park Public Library

WITS Workout ~ Thursday, October 15 from 1 to 2 pm

Give your brain the workout it needs to stay sharp. Participate in interactive brain teasers, games, and puzzles that get you thinking, because coming together and learning new things is good for your noggin! Recommended for older adults. 

You must register in advance with your email so that the corresponding documents can be emailed to you prior to the program. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom meeting ID & password. Evergreen Park Public Library

Homebrewing 101 with Open Outcry Brewing, Oct. 15th at 6:30

Join Owner John Brand and Head Brewer Wil Turner of Open Outcry Brewing to learn what it takes to get started or improve your home brewing hobby. Must register AND attend to be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate to Open Outcry Brewing,10934 South Western Avenue, Chicago, IL.
